Our Employees: Striking Personalities with Heart and Hand.

People are our focus – at the professional and personal level. The result: a cooperative and productive work environment. We develop and challenge the personal and professional development of our employees in every area and level. Just as important is a work-life balance: We are members of the family-friendly „WORKlife“ association.

Sports Promotion

As a Premium Partner of "Team Hamburg", we provide basic social care of top athletes so that they can prepare for their participation in the Olympics and other competitions. In addition, we support the Hanse Rowing Cup. In 2009, Buss was awarded the "Partnerunternehmen des Spitzensports" (Partner of Elite Sports).

Team Hamburg

The "Team Hamburg" promotes elite sports in Olympic and Paralympics events. The objective is providing Team Hamburg athletes athletic and material support so that they can fully concentrate on their sport. Thus, Hamburg's top athletes can be seen as ambassadors of sport city Hamburg and attract outstanding junior athletes to Hamburg. Bastian Seibt, an Olympic rower, has been a Buss employee for six years.

National Rowing League

2009, the National Rowing League competed for the fastest times and points on Küchensee in Ratzeburg.  Part of the 50th international Ratzeburger Rowing Regatta, 43 eight-man sculls participated in the race.  Buss supported the National Rowing League by hosting one race day and with the contribution of a prize: children’s skiff to support junior sports.

Hanse Rowing Cup

Hamburg vs. Bremen – this traditional duel is also carried out on water.  The eight-man sculls from the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration and Jacobs University Bremen compete on the Outer Alster, the oldest race course in Continental Europe.  Based on the old tradition of the famous boat race between Cambridge and Oxford on the Thames, the two private business schools promote rowing in the hanseatic cities. Buss is the main sponsor of the Hanse Rowing Cup.  And with its support of Olympic rower, Bastian Seibt, the goal is clear:  we want to bring the trophy to the Alster!
