Buss Port Logistics Handles the World's Heaviest Monopiles

Port handling and shipping under one contract


Hamburg – The Hamburg-based Buss Port Logistics has successfully completed the near-shore logistics and storage operations for the future Veja Mate offshore windpark. Since early March, Buss Port Logistics' offshore team managed the project and was responsible for all handling and shipping of the 67 monopiles – that each weigh up to 1.300 metric tons, from receipt at the factory in Rostock up until delivery to the installation vessel at the company's own Orange Blue Terminal (OBT) in the Dutch Port of Eemshaven.


Buss Port Logistics Expands Activities in Turkey

Hamburg – Logistics experts Buss Port Logistics – with their German/Turkish joint venture BussErk – were able to secure yet another contract in southeastern Turkey. Up to 2.5 million metric tons cargo is scheduled to be handled at the Gübretas Terminal, owned by the largest Turkish fertilizer company. The first vessel was already discharged at the end of February. Moreover, BussErk has extended their contract at the nearby LimakPort in Iskenderun.
